MAAC Propels AVGC Excellence Through High-Intensity 7th Edition of 100 Hours Creative Challenge
MAAC successfully organizes the 7th edition of its 100 Hours creative challenge, a high-intensity marathon where over 750 students across India produced 3D animation, mobile films, and AI-integrated digital brand experiences. Featuring 1,400 hours of expert mentorship, the event tests industry readiness and technical skill, preparing the next generation of AVGC professionals for global careers.
The competition functioned as a high-intensity creative marathon where 150 teams worked collectively for 100 hours, approximately 4.2 days of continuous creation, to produce 30-second 3D animated short films and 60-second mobile films. Recognizing the evolving consumption of digital media, MAAC introduced a revolutionary new category this year: Digital Brand Experience. This addition mandated that students explore branding, user experience, and content strategy, culminating in a complete brand experience through Brand Strategy, UI/UX, and brand promotion videos enhanced by Artificial Intelligence. Throughout the event, participants benefited from over 1,400 hours of expert mentorship, gaining hands-on exposure to the complete production pipeline, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
The structure of this rigorous challenge is rooted in MAAC’s 360 Degree Skills Advantage approach, which evaluates problem-solving abilities and technical prowess within a studio-like working environment. Students managed tight deadlines using relevant tools, software, and backend support provided by MAAC centers, simulating real-world work scenarios. Mr. Sandip Weling, Chief Business Officer, Global Retail, Aptech Limited and Brand Custodian, MAAC, noted that the challenge goes beyond competition to serve as an immersive learning experience that builds resilience and confidence. He emphasized that such initiatives are crucial for shaping future-ready professionals capable of meeting the evolving demands of the AVGC industry. Winners were recognized with cash prizes, mementos, and Certificates of Merit, while all participants received Certificates of Participation.
